Performed at Center for Creative Arts for Chattanooga Dances, I had started experimenting with a small Japanese Samurai sword after my bilateral mastectomy in 2006. With no traditional martial arts training, I began improvising with this prop to actually strengthen my upper back and arms to begin healing from breast cancer. I believe that I performed this piece in 2012. One of the highlights for me when finishing this performance was Barry Van Cura, co-founder of Ballet Tennessee who said that he always like watching what and how I was making dances because I always challenged his views on what is dance.
