I commissioned Dennis Palmer of the Shaking Ray Levis to create a piece of music for me about a chef in a kitchen with a large knife. Performed at Center for Creative Arts for Chattanooga Dances, I had started experimenting with a small Japanese Samurai sword after my bilateral mastectomy in 2006. With no traditional martial arts training, I began improvising with this prop to actually strengthen my upper back and arms to begin healing from breast cancer. I believe that I performed this piece in 2012. One of the highlights for me when finishing this performance was Barry Van Cura, co-founder of Ballet Tennessee who said that he always like watching what and how I was making dances because I always challenged his views on what is dance. This is not the title of this dance but I am going to have to really search for what I called this dance!

  1. You really make it seem really easy together with your presentation however I in finding this topic to be actually one thing which I think I’d never understand.
It seems too complicated and very wide for me.
I am having a look forward to your next put up, I will attempt to get the cling of it!
